1. Introduction
RevDoc Canada Corp. ("RevDoc", "we", "us") provides a digital health technology platform that enables individuals to connect with independent health care providers for the provision of health care services through our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy describes how RevDoc collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information in connection with the Services.
Role of RevDoc and Health Care Providers
RevDoc acts solely as a technology platform and service provider and collects, uses and discloses certain personal information (“Personal Information”) solely for the purpose of providing the Services.
Health care providers who use the Services are independent health information custodians under applicable provincial health privacy legislation, such as Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act or similar legislation in other provinces (”Health Privacy Laws”).
In receiving services from your health care provider, they will collect, use and disclose your personal information services (“Personal Health Information”) in order to provide you with healthcare. For this information, RevDoc acts as an information manager and service provider and processes your Personal Health Information solely on the instructions of such health care providers. Health care providers are independently responsible for their professional records, clinical decision-making, and compliance with applicable Health Privacy Laws.
In this Privacy Policy, we refer to Personal Information to mean the information collected, used and disclosed by RevDoc to provide Services (as a technology platform), and Personal Health Information to mean the information collected, used and disclosed by or on behalf of your health care provider to provide you with health care services.
2. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information handled by RevDoc in its role as a technology platform, including information collected through the RevDoc website and mobile application.
This Privacy Policy does not govern how independent health care providers collect, use, disclose, retain, or safeguard Personal Health Information in their professional records. Those practices are governed by the providers’ own privacy notices and applicable law.
3. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide
Depending on how you use the Services, RevDoc may collect:
Contact information (such as name, email address, phone number)
Account registration and authentication information
Billing and payment information (processed by Canadian payment processors)
Messages, forms, images and other Content voluntarily submitted through or generated in connection with the Services, including Content generated or supported by automated systems such as artificial intelligence
Biometric or physiological data (such as images, recordings, or data derived from medical devices) where such information is submitted or generated through your use of the Services
RevDoc does not record, store, or retain audio or video consultations conducted through the Services.
b. Information Collected Automatically
RevDoc may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, such as:
IP address and general location (province or territory)
Device, browser, and operating system information
Interaction data necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Services
This information is used for platform functionality, security, and aggregated analytics only.
4. Personal Health Information
Personal Health Information is collected, used, and maintained by health care providers for the purpose of providing health care services.
RevDoc processes Personal Health Information only as an information manager on behalf of health care providers and only for the purposes of enabling the Services.
RevDoc does not:
use Personal Health Information for advertising, marketing, profiling, or personalization
sell Personal Health Information
disclose Personal Health Information for commercial purposes unrelated to health care delivery
5. Biometric and Sensitive Data
Certain features of the Services may involve the collection, use, or disclosure of biometric or physiological data (such as images, recordings, or data derived from medical devices). This information may be used to facilitate health care services, support identity verification, improve the functionality and security of the Services, and support features that may use automated systems such as artificial intelligence.
RevDoc treats biometric and physiological data as highly sensitive information and applies safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, consistent with applicable Canadian privacy and health information laws.
The Services and any automated analyses, biometric estimates, wellness insights, or AI-generated outputs are intended solely for informational and wellness purposes and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Such outputs are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified health care provider.
Where RevDoc processes such data on behalf of health care providers, it does so solely as an information manager and in accordance with the instructions of those providers.
6. How We Use Personal Information
RevDoc uses Personal Information to:
Operate, maintain, and improve the Services
Authenticate users and manage accounts
Facilitate communication between users and health care providers
Provide customer support and technical assistance
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
Support automated features of the Services, including systems that use artificial intelligence or similar technologies for platform functionality, user support, or service improvement
RevDoc may use de-identified and aggregated information for analytics, research, and service improvement.
7. Disclosure of Information
RevDoc may disclose Personal Information:
To health care providers, as directed by users, for the purpose of facilitating health care services
To service providers who support the operation of the Services (such as hosting, security, and payment processing), subject to contractual confidentiality and security obligations
Where required or permitted by law
RevDoc will only disclose Personal Health Information as directed by your health care provider and will not disclose it for advertising or marketing purposes.
8. Data Residency and Security
All Personal Information and Personal Health Information processed by RevDoc is stored and processed exclusively in Canada using secure cloud infrastructure and data centers located in Canada that meet applicable Canadian privacy and health information security requirements. RevDoc periodically reviews its service providers to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable Canadian privacy and security requirements.
RevDoc maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and consistent with applicable Canadian privacy and health information security requirements.
9. Retention
RevDoc retains Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law.
Health care providers retain Personal Health Information in accordance with their professional and legal obligations.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Under applicable Canadian privacy laws, individuals may have the right to:
Access and request correction of Personal Information in RevDoc’s custody or control
Withdraw consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of Personal Information, including sensitive information such as biometric or physiological data, subject to legal or contractual restrictions
Make a complaint regarding RevDoc’s privacy practices
Requests relating to Personal Health Information that is in the custody or control of a health care provider must be directed to that provider.
11. Children and Minors
The Services are not directed to children. Information about minors is collected only as permitted under applicable Canadian law, including consent rules relating to mature minors.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
RevDoc may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or our practices. Material changes will be communicated in accordance with applicable law.

Health Care Providers’ Notice
Health care providers using the RevDoc platform act as health information custodians under Health Privacy Laws and are responsible for compliance with their own privacy obligations.
Health care providers do not record audio or video consultations conducted through the RevDoc platform.
In the event of any inconsistency between this Privacy Policy and a health care provider’s privacy notice, the provider’s notice governs the collection, use, disclosure, retention, and destruction of Personal Health Information within the provider’s custody or control.
