Dr. Tom Harmantas is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto. He is a dual Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, and holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the Harvard University School of Public Health, along with a Leadership and Development Certificate from the Department of Health Policy and Management.

As Chief of Surgery at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital and a Past President of the Ontario Medical Association, his leadership is defined by a commitment to systemic quality improvement. Dr. Alan Tan is a family and emergency physician with advanced expertise in emergency ultrasonography. Trained at McMaster, Queen’s, and Western Universities, he completed a Fellowship in Emergency Ultrasonography at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where he now practices and teaches in the emergency department. A Master Instructor with the Canadian Point-of-Care Ultrasound Society, Dr. Tan is actively involved in ultrasound education and research in emergency point-of-care ultrasound, simulation, and medical education.
